The Silk Needle

Frequently Asked Questions

Here are answers to the questions we commonly receive.

I have almost 100 hundred awards from local, regional, and international competitions.

The embroidery is done in Cleveland Ohio or Cape Coral Florida depending on the time of year. Yes we’re snowbirds and enjoy the I don’t shovel moments in our lives.

Li is my daughter-in-law, she had studied embroidery in China as a hobby and joined our family in 2004, she began her apprenticeship with me and proved to be a very adept student and large help. She now produces her own art as well as helping with the backgrounds of some of my larger pieces. In a couple of years we will introduce you to my grandaughter Susannah who is already winning her school art programs. Our goal is to keep this wonderful art form from disappearing and to establish it as an alternative to cross stitch for thousands of people.

There were many reasons but now we are starting to offer a limited number of embroideries on our website. Just remember there are no prints or copies. If you see something you like don’t miss out by thinking it will be there tomorrow. This was one of the main reasons we quit selling on the Internet before.
